The 2012 WECSSAA Track and Field Championships were held at University of Windsor’s Alumni Field this week. Sandwich Secondary took gold in the overall team rankings, while Vincent Massey finished with silver and Belle River grabbed bronze.

Quite a few different records were set over the three-day championships: Villlanova’s Connor Rosaasen set the new midget boys WECSSAA 100 metre record at 11.27, while Herman’s Brandon McBride and Massey’s Brianne Bracci set records in the senior boys and midget girls 800 metre races.
